CHINA SSL 2014 was held at The Westin Pazhou from Nov. 6 to 8. Dr. Wang Jiangbo, Vice President of HC Semitek, was invited to give a speech at the chip session. During the conference, HC Semitek unveiled “Yao” serial LED flip-chips which were extensively praised in the industry.

On Oct. 31, Academician Wang Zhizhen, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and vice chairman of the Central Committee of Jiu San Society, visited Wuhan HC Semitek Corporation for inspection. HC Semitek ranked fourth among the “Venture50 in China” selection event held at Park Hyatt Beijing on Oct. 21, 2010. Mr. Ye Aimin, co-founder and vice president of HC Semitek, received the award on behalf of the company, and attended the “Summit of High-Growth Enterprise CEOs in China” concurrently held as a guest speaker to discuss with hundreds of investors, entrepreneurs and media about the development of high-growth companies.

The signing ceremony for the talents sponsored by the third “3551 Talent Plan” organized by Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone was held at Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center on the afternoon of Sept. 16, 2010. Dr. Wang Jiangbo, assistant to the President of HC Semitek and R&D Manager, received funding as a high-level overseas professional introduced to Wuhan.

After the launch of the event for four consecutive times, Zero2IPO’s Venture50 in 2010 officially kicked off in Jun. this year. Through four months of collection of raw data covering company registration, recommendation by cooperative institutions, and recommendation by investment institutions, the top 150 candidates for the list were officially announced recently after three rounds of rigorous screening, exhaustive data collection, confirmation and verification. Wuhan HC Semitek Corporation was shortlisted again as one of the top 150 candidates for the final review.

HC Semitek started production in 2007, and achieved sales of a certain scale in 2008. Its sales grew rapidly in less than three years, and HC Semitek ranked among top 100 private technology companies in Wuhan for the first time.

At the opening ceremony of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the most dazzling is the LED background of the stage except the fireworks in the sky. Of the red, green and blue colors that constitute this dazzling background, the chips for blue and green colors are provided by HC Semitek. Compared to the imported chips used at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, this marks the first time Chinese-made LED chips are used extensively as the key products in major international events held in China.

On the afternoon of Aug. 6, Mr. Geng Bo, the Director of the Office of China Solid State Lighting Alliance (CSA), and his entourage, accompanied by officials from Wuhan Bureau of Science and Technology and relevant departments of East Lake High-tech Development Zone, visited HC Semitek to carry out the survey of the “Ten Cities and Ten Thousand LED Street Lamps” project. The scientists of HC Semitek R&D Department introduced HC Semitek’s current products and technology development to the research team.

The Wuhan Catalog of Independent Innovation Products in 2010 was promulgated recently after rigorous review by Wuhan Department of Science and Technology, Development and Reform Commission, and the Bureau of Finance, and Wuhan independent innovation product certification certificates were issued to 90 independent products by 77 companies listed in the Catalog. HC Semitek semiconductor LED chip was included in the list of the first independent innovation products, with the certificate number of WH2010007.

The “2010 National LED Display Application Technology Exchange and Industrial Development Seminar” sponsored by China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association (COEMA) LED Display Application Branch and co-organized by HC Semitek and Shenzhen Unilumin was held in Wuhan from May 29 to 31. As an important bi-annual academic conference of COEMA LED Display Application Branch, nearly 300 elites from the LED industry in China engaged in exchanges and discussions on LED display application technology and industrial development.

A short opening ceremony of the infrastructure project was held at the second-phase project site of HC Semitek plant on Apr. 17, 2010. Mr. Zhou Fuyun, chairman of HC Semitek, and Dr. Liu Rong, the president, gave blessing for the project. Nine people including the board directors, members of the board of supervisors, and investment representatives laid the foundation for the second-phase infrastructure project. As a blessing ceremony planned for internal personnel only, the company did not invite guests, but many employees and some friends still visited the site to watch the ceremony. The spring rain stops, and the spring is in the air, adding joy and peace to the ceremony.

On Mar. 12, the investment promotion delegation from Suzhou Wuzhong Economic Development Zone paid a visit to HC Semitek. HC Semitek’s President Dr. Liu Rong, Vice President Mr. Ye Aimin, and assistant to the President Mr. Bian Difei played host to the delegation.

Wuhan HC Semitek Corporation was awarded the AAA-level credit rating at the 2009 Wuhan Credit Enterprise License Award Conference jointly held by Wuhan Administration for Industry and Commerce and Wuhan Enterprise Credit Promotion Association. This is another honor for the company following the titles such as “High-tech Enterprise” and “Advanced Unit for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction”, and will promote our company to establish a good corporate image and its future development.

As a company in the electronic information technology field, HC Semitek has passed the certification of high-tech enterprise recently, and is awarded the “High-tech Enterprise” certificate jointly issued by the Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province, Hubei Provincial Department of Finance, Hubei Provincial Tax Service and the Hubei Provincial Local Taxation Bureau.

At the 2009 East Lake High-tech Development Zone Commendation Meeting for building a resource-conserving, environmentally friendly society and energy saving and emission reduction efforts on Dec. 24, Wuhan HC Semitek Corporation was awarded the title of “Advanced Unit for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction” and was listed as Hubei Province award-winning company for energy conservation and emission reduction project. The company’s president, Dr. Liu Rong, was named an “advanced individual for building a resource-conserving, environmentally friendly society”. HC Semitek’s work in energy saving and emission reduction has been highly recognized by the government.

On Nov. 5, 2009, Mr. Wu Senmin, Deputy Mayor of Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, led Yiwu municipal government delegation composed of ten people including leaders of bureaus, committees, development zones and outstanding entrepreneurs to HC Semitek Corporation for visit and inspection. Mr. Zhou Fuyun, chairman of the company, and Mr. Ye Aimin, the vice president, held reception for the delegation.

Dr. Mao Xin, the company’s early angel investor, a senior technology consultant, and a Chinese veteran in the semiconductor sector, visited HC Semitek on Sept. 25, 2009 at the invitation of the company. Mr. Zhou Fuyun, chairman of the company; President Dr. Liu Rong, Vice President Mr. Ye Aimin, Dr. Bao Jianren, and others held reception for Dr. Mao, reported the company’s achievements in recent years and future development plans, and listened to Dr. Mao’s suggestions for the development of HC Semitek and incisive analysis of the development trend of the LED sector.

The “3551 Talent Plan”, sponsored by Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone, was concluded in Sept. Dr. Wei Shizhen, vice president of HC Semitek, received a grant as a high-level talent introduced.

On the afternoon of Sept. 9, 2009, Wuhan Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and Thai businessmen led by BOI visited HC Semitek for inspection. Mr. Ye Aimin, vice president of HC Semitek, played host to the delegation.

In Aug. 2009, Wuhan HC Semitek Corporation obtained the ISO9001:2008 quality management system certification issued by SGS, a sign that HC Semitek reached a new height in terms of establishing and operating quality management system and improving its management.

Wuhan HC Semitek Corporation obtained ISO14001: 2004 environmental management system and OHSAS18001: 2007 occupational health and safety management system certification issued by SGS in Aug. 2009.

Cheng Zhishun, Deputy Director of Comprehensive Reform Office of Building a Resource-conserving, Environmentally Friendly Society in Wuhan and Sun Qianwen, Deputy Director of East Lake High-tech Development Zone, led a delegation of more than 50 people including the heads of functional departments and subordinate institutions of the development zone as well as provincial and municipal media people to inspect HC Semitek on the morning of Jul. 21, 2009. The main purpose of this visit is to foster the building of a resource-conserving, environmentally friendly society in East Lake High-tech Zone and ensure that the goals are fully realized. Ruan Chengfa, Mayor of Wuhan, and Yuan Shanla, Executive Deputy Mayor, accompanied by Liu Chuantie, director of East Lake High-tech Development Zone Management Committee and other leaders, visited HC Semitek on the morning of Apr. 8, 2009.
